The Asian Pacific Islander Capitol Association (APICA) is a non-partisan, 501(c)(3) non-profit organization comprised of legislative staffers, advocates, and other professionals based in the State Capitol community of Sacramento, California dedicated to ensuring the success of AANHPI and SWANA in the Capitol Community.
APICA was founded in the early 2000s and had only a small group of API members from the community.
Our internship program was founded in 2010 and became integral into achieving one of APICA's key missions: creating a pipeline for AANHPI and SWANA staffers.
While we are primarily dedicated to the empowerment of AANHPI professionals, our membership is not exclusively tied to those of the AANHPI diaspora. Any person interested in supporting the APICA and its purposes is eligible for foundation membership and we welcome everyone to become a member!
